WHAT TO EXPECT
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOUR NEW POM IS HOME
A SHORT BLOG OF BABY PIE PETUNIA BELL'S PROGRESS
March 24, 2007 - Day 1 - Brought her home - loves to be outside, prefers to elimate outside - woke up 5 times during the night crying, waited it out and did not answer her cries. Is attached to only one person.
March 25, 2007 - Day 2 - Still only attached to one person - woke up 3 times during the night crying, waited it out and did not answer her cries. Needs lots of appropriate things to chew on! Loves to explore surroundings.
March 26, 2007 - Day 3 - Wakes up at 6:30-7:00 consistantly, immediately needs to go out to use the bathroom (always take to same area so there isn't messes all over your yard to hunt for). Starting to enjoy other people, but prefers her #1 person.
March 27, 2007 - Day 4 - Last bathroom break and bed time at 10:00. Sleeps thru the night! Wakes up at 6:30-7:00 for the bathroom. Very much aware of new surroundings and LOVES New Toys!
April 3, 2007 - Attached leash to collar - let her drag it around to get use to it. Resists any restraints on the leash by struggling and yelling. Let it drag for another day or two.
April 5, 2007 - Accepts leash and some guiding and restraint without resisting. Went for 30 minute walk on leash.
April 18, 2007 - walks at side - learned to not pull in all directions.
April 20, 2007 - 1st set of Vaccinations since her well vist with her liter.
May 11, 2007 - 2nd set of Vaccinations.
March 23, 2008 Baby Pie gives birth to one Baby Boy.
6 MONTHS
By 6 months, Baby-Pie is fully house trained. She indicates her need to go out by sitting directly in front of you and looking right at you, or by pawing at your leg.
She is so full of fun and energy and curiosity. Such a joy to have around the house!
